Drive, enthusiasm, art and culture. You will find it all and then some in Nora’s creative quarter - Bryggeriet.
Kvarteret Bryggeriet is located right outside the town centre, walking distance from the square. The industrial milieus from the latter part of the 1800s now house creators in art, culture, crafts, food and drink. In the area you will find studios and workshops where you can meet local craftsmen and artists. Glass work, smithing, recycling, textile workshop and wood design are just some examples of what you can discover in the district. There is also a chocolate praline maker, the micro-brewery Nora Brygghus, as well as Enkla Bullar, Björk Café och Skafferi and Bryggerikrogen Restaurant.
In Bryggerihuset, Bavarian beer was manufactured until the 1950s. And the smell of malt and hops lingers today. The building is largely unchanged since then and raises many eyebrows with its architecture. Today the impressive venue houses exciting art. From May to September contemporary exhibitions are displayed on four floors.
